Hey Kids!
The following sites are recommended for children from preschool through grade 6,
their parents and other caregivers. We alsove have a page of sites specifcally
for children under eight. Parents are
strongly urged to read and discuss with their children the brochure "The
Librarians Guide to Cyberspace for Parents & Kids" from the ALA
American Library Association and to accompany their children when they use the
Internet.

- Homework Center
- A very well organized site, featuring a lot of information on more than 30
homework topics, ranging from wars and world history to maps and
mythology put together by the Multnomah County Library.

- A full-service Children's Department including Science Fair Project Resource Guide, key homework topics, science fun and facts, a lot of info on Native American Indian tribes, math, geography, history, sports and many other topics. Includes a biographical dictionary and a lot more!

The site was designed especially with young people in mind, but there are great stories for people of all ages, children and their families will enjoy exploring this site together. Here, you can discover what Abraham Lincoln had in his pockets on the night he was assassinated. (You will be surprised.) - This website is a mysteriously small site of mysteries for elementary kids. This site contains magic tricks, mysteries to solve, mystery stories to rate, a writing contest, and TV listings for your favorite mystery TV shows. For the Kids Mystery Writing Contest you need to be 12 years of age or younger. This is a fairly small site, still, if you're into mysteries and would love to read just one more, or write one, this might be a good idea.
